Artemis Center for Alternatives to Domestic Violence is currently in need of the items listed below.  Donations are greatly appreciated.  Thank you!

 

  • Gift certificates to Meijer or Kroger to meet emergency needs of clients and their children, in $10, $25 and $50 increments
     
  • RTA Bus Tokens, cab fare for clients, donations to Nancy Grigsby Survivor fund (which is used to help keep victims safe)
     
  • Food pantry items such as canned meats, canned fish, boxes of macaroni and cheese, pasta, pasta sauce, cereal, peanut butter, infant formula, baby food, canned fruit, canned drinks, canned soup, cake mixes and icing and individually wrapped snacks
     
  • Convenience meals such as tuna salad kits, chicken salad kits, etc.
     
  • Bottled water and drink mixes (Kool Aid, Crystal Light, etc.)
     
  • Other pantry items like laundry detergent, household cleaners, paper towels and toilet paper
     
  • Hair and skin care products (no sample sizes please) in a range of colors for women of all races
     
  • Disposable diapers (sizes 4, 5 and 6), Pull Ups, diaper rash cream and baby wipes
     
  • Diaper bags, duffel bags and adult backpacks
     
  • Can openers
     
  • Baby shampoo
     
  • New or used 4-wheel cart/dolly
     
  • SCHOOL SUPPLIES
    Backpacks, lunch bags, crayons, markers, colored pencils, glue sticks, scissors, play dough, clay, oil pastels, paints, folders, hand sanitizer, tissues

CHILDREN’S PROGRAM WISH LIST 

PLEASE NO STUFFED ANIMALS (other than puppets).

Puppets to symbolize various strengths and vulnerabilities such as danger, safety and protection, intelligence, manipulation, power, weakness, magic, fear, gentleness, laziness.  We still need a bee, lamb, wizard, witch, fox, bear, elephant, dolphin, and community helpers.

Underwear for boys and girls age 3-5 (Just a few to have on hand for toileting accidents).

Used or New Sand Play Miniatures.  Miniatures can be any object (often 1-4 inches tall) with symbolic meaning that children place in the sand to represent their feelings, experiences, relationships, family, and community.  These can be found in toy departments, cake shops, craft stores, craft bazaars, garage sales, flea markets, dollar stores, thrift shops, and on the web.  Below are suggested items available online:
